About the film

Hamid, Aras and Ismail are three teenagers trapped in a refugee reception centre in the mountains of Northern Norway. The boys dream of starting a new life on the other side of the mountains. When they see that change is nowhere in sight and that they face deportation at the age of 18, they devise a plan to escape. But the poetic Hamid falls in love with Aida, and the trio's previously united relationship begins to crumble. With gentle irony and humour, this dramedy tells the story of first love, dreams and friendship amidst snowy mountaintops and dangerous situations. The director, who works on themes of migration and identity, drew inspiration for this film from his own experience as a refugee.
