Sixteen-year-olds Paula and La Maestra are inseparable friends and the strongest swimmers on their team. Following a night at a party, La Maestra senses that something has happened to her friend: Paula suddenly seems distant, consumed by sadness. As the truth about that night emerges, the girls search for the words to describe the harrowing experience, each responding in her own way. Paula wants to remain silent, while La Maestra feels she must speak out. Fear, guilt and anger put their friendship to the test. Fernanda Tovar’s bold film won the Crystal Bear for Best Film in the Generation 14plus section at the Berlinale.
