The first and final film directed by famous Icelandic composer Jóhann Jóhannsson, who passed away last year, is based on the cult science fiction novel by Olaf Stapledon of the same name and Dutch photographer Jan Kempenaers' art book "Spomeniks." Sitting somewhere between fiction and documentary the film combines music, visuals and narration by Tilda Swinton. She addresses us, human beings of today, from the human kind of tomorrow and contemplates the flaws and advantages of humanity.
