Lars and Suzana have been living together for twenty years. They love each other and together have created a safe and happy life. He has a well-paying job, a big house, two cars and a daughter who is getting ready to move out. Similarly, the life of Susana's best friend Anna and her husband Ulf. They will also soon be celebrating the twentieth anniversary of living together. One evening the couples meet for dinner, Suzana tells everyone about college times. The story provokes stormy reactions, the couples reveal long hidden things to each other, an open card game begins that turns their lives and marriages upside down.

Režsierius Simonas Staho gimė 1972 metais Danijoje. Jis paprastai renkasi aukščiausios klasės aktorius. Jo debiutiniame filme „Laukinis“ (1998) matome Madsą Mikelseną ir Nikolajų Costerį Waldau, o jo filmuose švedų kalba vaidina garsiausi Švedijos aktoriai: Mikaelis Persbrandtas, Erlandas Josephsonas, Lena Olin, Fares Fares, Maria Bonnevie ir Pernilla August. Režisieriaus filmas „Diena ir naktis“ (2004) buvo apdovanotas prizu Čikagoje ir parodytas San Sebastiano kino festivalio konkursinėje programoje.
