Pernille Fischer Christensen gimė 1969 metais Danijoje. 1999 metais baigė režisūrą nacionalinėje Danijos kino akademijoje. Kritikų išliaupsintas ir festivalių hitu tapęs trumpametražis filmas „Habibti, mano meile“ 2004-aisiais buvo apdovanotas festivalyje, „Premiers Plans“ (Prancūzija). Režisierės ilgametražis vaidybinis debiutas „Muilo opera“ 2008-aisiais laimėjo net du apdovanojimus Berlyno kino festivalyje.
