In a remote village by the sea, Sebastian, twenty-two, is repairing the roof of his house. An unexpected drug overdose kills a homeowner who has been promised a lot of money just before his death, as long as he follows all the instructions. Sebastian decides to take the place of the deceased. This is how the treasure hunt begins, which takes the young man to the underground world - a nightmare place where people gamble from other people's lives behind closed doors. "Tzameti" translated from Georgian means "13".
"The idea for this film was born while moving from Georgia to France. I left a violent, war-torn country and arrived in a supposedly peaceful France. But I gradually discovered a different kind of violence that exists in France, psychological violence," director Gela told the film.
