Glimpses of Europe. Programme II

1 hr. 46 min.

Distinctive cinematic styles, diverse perspectives and a keen sensitivity to the present – this is Glimpses of Europe, Scanorama’s international short film competition.

This year’s films capture the mood of the moment, tensions within society and our attempts to understand ourselves and others. Their characters search for a place in a complex world, try to make sense of the past and imagine the future. Through personal stories, the films explore the broader questions of our time.

Each film has its own style and approach to storytelling. Together, they reveal the richness and diversity of European short film. Here, young filmmakers explore the possibilities of cinema and find their own ways of expressing what matters to them.

Glimpses of Europe invites audiences to discover new voices in European cinema on the big screen and, through their films, feel the pulse of life today.
