Thirty-five-year-old Vilma lives alone, plagued by anxieties—most of all, a fear of death. One day, a priest named Ivar and a pathologist, Robert, appear at her door to deliver sad news: her father has died, leaving behind only a letter. But Vilma never knew she had a real father, and the men’s sudden arrival, together with the mysterious letter, turns her quiet life upside down.
