About the film

Kika – a mother, wife, and social worker – sees her life turned upside down when she falls passionately in love with another man. But just as she gives in to her feelings, she suddenly loses her beloved and is left alone – pregnant and in debt. To make ends meet, Kika turns to sex work. Presented at Cannes, the film speaks of the reality of single mothers and their difficult path to economic independence, like an ironic Pretty Woman for our times.

Screenings at the “Pasaka” cinema are shown without English subtitles.
