Since a tragic incident in her family, thirteen-year-old Sasha has only been able to feel joy when watching comedy shows. So she decides to become a stand-up comedian to make everyone laugh. Especially her father, who cries in the shower when he thinks no one is listening. Along the way, Sasha can count on the support from friends and family. Still, her path to achieve her goal proves to be full of trials and revelations.

Sanna Lenken
Sanna Lenken studied at the Dramatiska Institutet in Stockholm and the European Film College in Denmark. After making several successful short films, she directed My Skinny Sister, her debut feature which won the Crystal Bear at the Berlinale and the Audience Award at the Göteborg Film Festival. A Berlinale Talents alumna, her most recent works are the series Thin Blue Line for Swedish television and the Viaplay series Thunder in My Heart.
