When Eyal (actor Shai Avivi) finishes the traditional Jewish week of mourning for his late son, his wife (actress Evgenia Dodina) urges him to return to their routine. Instead, he gets high with a young neighbour (actor Tomer Kapon) and sets out to discover that there are still things in his life worth living for. Asaph Polonsky’s debut feature One Week and a Day provides a nuanced perspective on loss that is as merciless as it is funny and insightful.
