About the film

The main character of the film, Priidik, accidentally finds an old book in his grandfather's antique shop. Not just a book for yourself, but a magic that can sort everything out. The boy with the book revives a dead butterfly that died carelessly. The boy’s lonely father wants to curb his son’s boundless imagination and simply prepare it for first grade. The goals of the father and the son do not coincide, and their thinking is completely different. Secretly from his father, Priidik asks for a magic book to help meet his dead mother. The boy just wants to say goodbye to her. At the same time, he says goodbye to his childhood ...

"The process of a child's growth is extremely painful - it is a time when you lose something, but that is why you achieve something. Move forward. It won’t start to grow faster if someone asks for it. Maturation is a difficult path that everyone has to overcome on their own, ”says director Martti Helde.
