The hero of the film is the father of two children, a photographer of criminal victims Jonas. While his family life is going well, the man feels exhausted from everyday life and dreams of exotic travel. One day, due to his fault, the girl Julia is injured in an accident . The next day Jonas comes to the hospital to visit her. The girl doesn't remember anything. The family supports Jonas, Julia's new boyfriend Sebastian . Jonas takes on this role. A man’s life takes on completely different meanings. Julia heals, her memory gradually returns, and for Jonas, the girl becomes the most important person. But the day is approaching when the past will return.

Director
Ole Bornedal
Režisierius Ole Bornedalis (g. 1959) savo kūrybinę veiklą pradėjo radijuje, čia nuo 1982 iki 1987 metų surežisavo dešimt spektaklių. Po to dirbo televizijoje, rengė TV šou, kūrė trumpametražius ir televizijos filmus, tapo „Danmarks Radio“ televizijos filmų direktoriumi. Po sėkmingo debiuto – vaidybinio filmo „Nakties sargyba“ („Nattewagten“) –1994 m. šių pareigų atsisakė. Gavęs Holivudo pasiūlymą, Ole Bornedalis šį savo filmą perfilmavo su aktoriais Nicku Nolte ir Ewanu McGregoru („Nightwatch“, 1998).
