The soldier should not fall in love before the decisive battle between good and evil. Inspired by the myth and grandeur of the Kalevala, the warrior tells the story of a love-possessed hero who fights the bans of modern life and seeks love that is independent of place and time. On his way to love, he rediscovers his origins, his warrior abilities, and his destiny.
The Warrior is the first Finnish-Chinese co-production film. Based on the national Finnish epic Kalevala, the film connects Finland today with ancient China, where the battle between good and evil takes place.
