"Wild Duck" is the director's last film, based on a play by his grandfather Henrik Ibsen, which depicts the choices, lies and sacrifices of a middle-aged man. Trancred Ibsen is considered a director who has modernized Norwegian cinema, both artistically and technically, by elevating it to an international level.
