About the film

"The Though Ones" were rebellious peasants who ravaged the villages off the west coast of Finland as early as the 18th century. The appearance of this film was inspired by photos of two rebels.

The film tells the story of three young people. Two of them, Duck and Jusus, were imprisoned for five years for armed robbery. The third member of the triumvirate, Heikki, who was not caught, studied law while his friends were sitting. In 1994, Duck and Jus are released, and they return home, to their town. There, it turns out that Heikki is the new chief of police, and their former hidden booty is gone. Although Heike tries to stop them from committing new crimes, the former prisoners quickly realize how unprofitable a decent life is, so they start a family business with Antis' grandfather - smuggling.
