Grimur’s childhood ends with the natural catastrophe that kills his family. Although Grimur had had a premonition of this, he had been unable to prevent it. More than thirty years later, Grimur is still tormented by guilt. Flashbacks disrupt his life, his painting and the relationship with his girlfriend, who wants a child. Will Grimur be able to find inner place to accept the way his life has developed? „Blue light is cold, it is the light of sky, the sea of death and of eternity. At the other end of spectrum is the warm yellow light of the sun and of life. The changing colours and different faces of the natural scenery mirror our inner emotions“, explains director Oddsson. This spellbinding film with its hypnotic images gazes into depths of the human soul.
